Detailed Trail Description

The Harbor Loop trailhead is situated in the parking area of Winton Woods Park. You can locate it from Winton Rd. Turn left to Lakeview Dr and take the next right turn. Then, take a 180° turn towards your left and continue straight ahead, where you will see a parking area.

The Harbor Loop Trail follows around the lake and features two West Fork Mill Creek bridges. From the parking lot, start riding and get on Lakeview Dr. Alternatively, you can pass by the Winton Woods Boathouse, which is behind the parking lot. Follow the paved trail that goes around Winton Lake.

Continue veering right towards the first bridge along the trail. Before the bridge, you will ride past the Winton Woods Campground, which features more than 120 camping sites.

Continue towards the bridge, which offers you the chance to enjoy the scenery of the lake. So, our team of bike enthusiasts recommends taking a short break to take in the scene. After your break, continue to keep right and follow the Harbor Loop Trail, which takes you back to Winton Rd. Cross the second and last bridge on Winton Rd and take the right turn back to Lakeview Dr and the parking area.

Sight of Interest

You will notice a historical marker for the Science Hall School when riding on the Harbor Loop Trail near the basketball courts. The school was built in 1806 and served the area for 132 years until 1938.
