Trail Route and Features

The adventure begins at the Creekside Trail, a moderately rocky terrain with roots that soon narrows down to a picturesque creek. After 1.8 miles, Creekside ends at FS-159 fire road. From here, a left turn and a short climb lead to the crest, where the smooth and flowing Flume Trail starts. The trail lasts for 2 miles before dead-ending into Chainsaw.

  • Progresses to Flume Trail, which offers a smooth and flowing descent.
  • Ends with Chainsaw, bringing the loop full circle.

Insights and Tips

  • Look to your left on the descent down Flume Trail to see the remains of the old flume, giving the trail its name.
  • After Chainsaw, to extend the ride, consider taking the Creekside Loop trail fork on the left. It will loop back to the Creekside Trail.
  • To return to the parking lot, fork right and follow the old road. Stay to the left until the parking lot is visible, then take the right fork.

Trail Experience

Expect an inviting atmosphere with well-maintained tracks, solid signage, and calming quietude away from the highway. The loop can be ridden multiple times for those looking to rack up extra mileage.
