Belle Isle offers a quaint trail network nestled in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. While the island may be small in size, it packs a punch in terms of its terrain and views. Spanning a modest 2 miles, the trail system caters to those seeking a laid-back, scenic ride, as well as to adrenaline junkies looking for challenging descents.
Upon arriving at the Belle Isle (Tredegar) parking lot, riders can embark on a flat, scenic loop that encompasses the island's perimeter. This section offers splendid vistas and is also frequented by joggers, dog walkers, and sightseers. For those craving more intensity, an exhilarating climb to the island's summit awaits. Here, one finds a maze of small singletrack trails, some of which present rather challenging descents. Though the ride might be brief, the thrill and views make every moment worthwhile.
